Accessing the Security Devices Section
To begin, log in to the Entryfy web interface. Once logged in, navigate to the main menu on the left side of the screen. Here, you'll see several options.
Click on Security Devices to access the section listing all the security devices associated with your organization. This page gives you a comprehensive view of the devices under your management.
Selecting the Site
After entering the Security Devices section, you will see a list of sites managed within your organization. Each site represents a physical location or a specific area where devices are installed.
Click on the site where the device you intend to restart is located. For example, you might select "Entryfy - Stockholm Site." This action will take you to a detailed view of the chosen site, showing various sections such as Door Controllers, Doors, and Cameras.
Locating the Door Controller
Within the site view, ensure you are on the Door Controllers tab. This tab lists all the door controllers associated with the selected site.
Browse the list to find the door controller you need to restart. For instance, you might look for "Development Controller 3" or "Development Controller 2." Each controller entry displays relevant details, including its current status and which area it belongs to.
Restarting the Device
Once you have located the desired door controller, look for the three-dot menu (ellipsis) next to its entry. Clicking on this menu opens a dropdown list of actions.
Select Restart from the options provided. After selecting Restart, you may be prompted to confirm your action. Confirm the Restart, and the device will begin the restart process.
This process may take a few minutes, during which the device will temporarily go offline before returning online.
Tips
- Before restarting, ensure the device's Restart will not disrupt critical operations, especially during business hours.
