This article provides a step-by-step guide for administrators managing guests within Entryfy.
Step 1: Create a New Access Rule
Log into the administrator dashboard, navigate to Accesses, and click the "SET ACCESS RULE" button.
- Provide a name for the rule and, optionally, a description.
- Specify the time interval during which the access rule will be active.
Temporary accesses will only be valid during the defined time intervals and will be automatically removed once they expire.
Step 2: Create a guest user
The next step is to handle users who should have the temporary access rule.
- Click Continue to proceed to user selection.
- Click Add Guest and enter the visitor's email address. A Guest role user will be created, and an invitation email with further instructions, including their PIN code & QR Code, will be sent to them.
To manage the credentials yourself, uncheck the Send Welcome Email box. The user's credentials are available under the user's profile.
Step 3: Select doors
- After adding users, click Continue to choose the doors to which the access rule will apply. Use the checkboxes on the left to select the doors.
- Select which authentication methods the user should be allowed to use. For guest users, PIN and QR code will be appropriate unless you want them to download the mobile application to use mobile authentication methods.
